Marissa Weaver

​Leadership expert Dr. Marissa LeClaire Weaver is passionate about helping others become better versions of themselves.

A member of Springfield Business Journal’s 2015 Most Influential Women, Weaver takes a hands on approach in developing individualized solutions for clients. She brings nearly twenty years of leadership development experience to her business, Your Leadership Trainer, LLC where she helps businesses and organizations through facilitating workshops, executive coaching & leadership training.

Marissa worked as the Executive Vice President for Big Brother Big Sisters of the Ozarks and before that as the Associate Director of Student Engagement where she developed leadership programs for Missouri State University. She still teaches leadership courses within the Communications department at MSU.

Marissa completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership from University of Missouri-Columbia. Through her involvements in the community, Marissa has served on the Leadership Springfield Board of Directors as the Class Chair, Continuing Education Chair and most recently Co-chairing the Curriculum & Evaluation committee for the organization. She continues to participate weekly as a Lunch Buddy in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs with her husband Jason and their daughter Lucy.
